2025 Tennessee Tree Farmer of the Year: Wade McCamey, Pristine Point Tree Farm

Each year, the Tennessee Tree Farm Program honors an outstanding landowner who demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable forestry, land stewardship, and conservation. We are proud to recognize Wade McCamey of Pristine Point Tree Farm in Greene County as the 2025 Tree Farmer of the Year.

Pristine Point Tree Farm reflects decades of hands-on management and long-term vision. With over 70 acres reforested and more than 30,000 trees planted—including white oak, yellow poplar, and shortleaf pine—Wade has built a forest that supports both productivity and ecological health. His work also includes invasive species control, wildlife habitat improvements, and the use of a portable sawmill and solar kiln to fully utilize forest resources.

During the Tennessee Forestry Association Annual Meeting, Wade was recognized for his dedication to responsible forest management. His son was also in attendance to support him—highlighting the family connection that so often defines tree farming.

Wade’s story is rooted in a lifelong connection to the land, returning to forestry after a career in education to invest in something lasting. That long-term perspective is exactly what defines a Tree Farmer.

Congratulations, Wade—and thank you for setting the standard for woodland stewardship in Tennessee.
