Initial 4-Day Course

The Master Logger Initial Course includes five days of training at cost of $175.00 per person. This program consists of 4 days, 8 hours per day.

1-Day Continuing Education Course

After you attend the 5-day Master Logger initial course, Tennessee Master Logger Graduates must attend a 1-day continuing education class every two years to keep their Master Logger Status at a cost of $85.00.

The initial course and continuing education classes are scheduled and posted regularly on TFA's calendar of events page. Attendees will receive an updated master logger card by mail after successfully completing the 5- day initial course or the 1-day Continuing Education Class.

The program has received high praise from members of the Tennessee General Assembly and has been recognized by the Forest Resource Association, Inc. as one of the top three logger training programs nationwide. The Tennessee Master Logger is sponsored by the Tennessee Forestry Association, TN Agricultural Enhancement Program, University of Tennessee Extension Service, Tennessee Division of Forestry and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
