Target Audience: Tennessee Landowners
Description: Tennessee Healthy Hardwoods has the goal of reaching private woodland owners with the message of sustainable hardwood forest management. On-site field days are held where participants can view first-hand forestry practices that focus on timber production while protecting water, soil and wildlife resources.

Private forest landowners and professional foresters are cordially invited to attend the Tennessee Healthy Hardwoods (THH) fall forestry field day. The 2020 theme is “Special Forest Products.” The partners of these educational sessions are providing the events at no cost to participants. The agenda at each event will generally be as follows
8:00 -8:30 Welcome & Intro.
Speakers will address:
- Woodland Edibles and Medicinals
- Overview of Non-Timber Forest Products
- Demonstration of Novelty Wood (with Portable Sawmill)
- Noon- 1:00 Lunch (no charge) & Door Prizes
1:00 Conclusion of the Field Day
Directions: From the court house in Dover, take Rt. 49 south for 13 miles. Entrance is on the right (west) side of road. Follow back to shelter on the left. From Erin, take Rt. 49 north for 10 miles. Sign is on the left. 36.380475, -87.766441
