Through Log A Load For Kids we can use our renewable resource - our trees, to insure the future of our most precious resource, our children!
What is Log A Load For Kids?
Log A Load For Kids is a nationwide giving campaign, now in its 17th year, through which loggers and others contribute the value of a load of logs, or any amount, to local Children's Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals and organize related fundraising events. 100 percent of all contributions go to hospitals; overhead expenses are contributed separately by sponsoring associations, the Children's Miracle Network, and corporate and private underwriting. There are currently Log A Load campaigns in 27 states. Since 1988, local Log A Load programs have raised over $22 million nationwide.
What is the Children's Miracle Network?
The Children's Miracle Network is the dominant North American organization actively providing better health care to kids, through its 173 associated hospitals, raising funds through corporate sponsors, national associations, and community businesses. CMN-affiliated hospitals treat 14 million children across North America each year. Each year, fundraising efforts culminate in a nationally broadcast television special from Walt Disney World the weekend following Memorial Day, in which sports figures and other celebrities participate.
